David Zahn, Founder of Maven Yachting, brings to the industry over 35 years of sailing experience and 20 years as USCG Licensed Captain. With a USCG 1600-ton license, he has expertly navigated both motor and sailing yachts across diverse waters. including an Atlantic crossing.
A four-time national sailing champion, David's competitive edge and dedication to excellence have driven his impressive career. He has been pivotal in several refit projects on yachts ranging from 26’ Center Consoles to 150’ Mega yachts. One of his key accomplishments was managing a 12-month full refit for a Delta 124, overseeing critical upgrades in paint, mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
